Day 2 - we're back on the road

 We woke up well rested at the Economy Inn in McComb, Mississippi. Just before check out we got the call that the new fuel pump had arrived so we checked out and walked two blocks down to Southwest auto. We actually had several heavy bags we were carrying so a very nice old veteran gave us a lift. We made sure to thank him for his service. 

We unloaded everything off of the bus so the mechanics could access the fuel pump hatch. 

I then left on my little scooter to go grab Flo & I drinks from the store. I went through downtown McComb and across the tracks and back. My arrival back to the bus was perfect as the mechanic was walking off as I rolled up anld the engine was running. 

We pulled off at 1:33pm! Yay!!! OMG! It feels so good to be back on the road. 

Back on the road day 2 short video

Just south of Hazelhurst, MS I55 northbound, we pulled over at the extremely clean rest area. Hand clap for Mississippi (my home state) on that one. Here we had a lovely lunch picnic.

We made a stop at the Home Depot in Madison, MS for a 5 gallon water and manuel pump however that location doesn't carry any type of water dispensers. 


10pm - Memphis, TN! 

Check out our BBQ dinner video at Marlowe's, since 1974. That place is 5 star. Just a couple of minutes down the road from Graceland and Elvis himself used to eat there. 
We called our food in since the kitchen closes at 10. The bar stays open till 11pm. They have a penny smoosher (I have a huge collection). I got a TCB lightning bolt penny as I'm all about TCB.

Day 24 - 2 Seperared Girls and No Bus

Around 4:20pm, we got the distressed call from Flo that the bus has been stolen from the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada.  There's video footage of a blonde woman and a dark haired man and a police report has been filed.  She has insurance but not comprehensive which is what covers theft.  This whole tour has been unexpected mechanic after mechanic expenses after being told the bus was good to go before leaving New Orleans. The bus is Flo's shelter / bed and kitchen / pantry holding all her clothes, toiletries, necessities, and precious special things and some of mine too.  Flo is need of all these things while dealing with the Reno police department and may even need a flight if the bus is not recovered in a timely manner.  This is an urgent call for help. Day 28- It's a Wrap

Flo & I arrive back in Reno to deal with stolen bus stuff.  (I might add more info here later) Flo and I go seperate ways again which allows for the conclusion of The 2 Girls on a Bus Exploration. I will be continuing with my travels on the west coast which includes: packing up the house in Gilroy, CA, traveling to the dentist in Rosarito, Mexico, visiting Los Angeles, attending Same Same But Different Fest for my 5th year (it's a favorite of mine), and then returning back to New Orleans just in time for Fête du Void.  I'll be sharing mostly on The Wings of Eyas Youtube and Facebook page.  Peace and Love,  Melanie Eyas
